How Timeboxing Make Your Life Extra Productive.?



In today's time, we are encircled with work. That work may be office work or work related to the home. We can not run away without fulfilling our duties or responsibilities at home or office. For that, virtually we are prepared a to-do list to accomplish our work and try improving our productivity. But, because of the owing reason, we fail to follow our to-do list.

1) We are confused with our list of task or confuse with the task.

2) For motivation purpose or stay with to do list we always draw easier task

3) Fail to draw important and urgent task in our list.

4) Fail to manage time or fail to follow our commitment.


These are the predominant factor that ruins our list.

The antidote is timeboxing.

When we start to follow our to-do list often we focus on two tasks simultaneously or one task and we focus only on task. Hence task consumes much more time then our expectations. In timeboxing, we focus on time instead of a task. and it encourages us to complete a task asap. In that, we breakdown a whole task into subtask with fix time (Include leisure time). Hence we accomplish a whole task in less time as we scheduled in the to-do list.

Procedure of Timeboxing

1) Take one task and divide into a subtask.

2) Each subtask you have to complete within 25 min. ( keep in mind that realistic manner you have to divide subtask). and 5 min. break after completion of subtask or 25min.

3) Follow the above step 4 time mean only for 2hours and then take a 30min break.

Finally, you analyse your accomplishment and review your progress at each timebox.

If you regularly follow timeboxing you feel you get control over yourself. When you accomplish any task within the scheduled time you get inner happiness and this is the biggest driver of your accomplishment. Because of the timeboxing, you can easily distinguish what to do, when to do and how to do and how to deny the distractions. Hence this enhances your personal, professional productivity.
