How Do We Live a Gentle Life.? : Confucius Ideology.

On this planet, everybody has a dream to become a billionaire and to lead a successful life. For that, we study hard during school, spend thousands of money to get a degree, and then a higher degree. But out of all, only some of the people become a billionaire or millionaire. Because these people have some extra ability. In that list, one of these is to live a gentle life. Out of all historical ancestors, Confucius's ideology is considered to be the best philosophy in terms of,

How to Become Gentlemen or Gentlewomen or How to live a gentle life.

Before that just take a glimpse of " Life of Confucius"

Confucius was a great eastern philosopher, born in 550 B.C. He lived during the Chou Dynasty. For his time he was nominated as the best philosopher. His teaching was the foundation for Asian cultures. During his time moral and social orders were degrading every single day. He wanted to restore these three pillars during his existence. Throughout his life, many times he got discouragement and disillusionment from his life. He spent his final years with his disciples by teaching and writing. However, in his time, he did not receive a turn into the political culture but his disciples got a very good chance to gain a significant position in the government sector. But after his death many Chinese ancestors, philosophers added, modified their insights, and centuries later Confucianism became an official religion in china and shaping theirs.

Confucius said: Gentle life depends on 3 key factors, that are

1) Life ethics

2) Relationship

3) Nature

These 3 factors decide your life is on track of gentleness or not. Let me explain one by one

1) life ethics

Confucius's philosophy on life ethics is totally based on three principles.

  1. Li
  2. Jen
  3. Chun-Tuz

Li has several meanings that are purity, courtesy, rituals, and living standards. Confucius wanted to ideal standards in religions, moral and social conduct.

Jen has several meanings that are related to goodness and benevolence with others. No matter of their religions, class, and respective ranks.

Chun-Tzu has more closed relation with the character of true gentlemen/women.

        Self-respect

        Generosity

        Sincerity

        Persistence

        Benevolence

        Virtues

If you follow these factors in your life definitely your life will be more gentle than others.

2)  Relationship

In our life, social, personal, and professional relationships are very much important. In that, all personal relationships play a vital role in our life. If your personal relationships are disturbed, relative life means social as well as professional life also gets impacted. Vice versa in terms of happiness.

Confucius suggested some great tips related to personal relationships that are,

Kindness in father and Son devotion towards him.

Gentility with eldest brother and love, respect, and humanity with the younger.

Honesty behavior in husband and obedience in the wife.

Human consideration in elders and defense in juniors

        Benevolence and loyalty with rulers.

The most important relationship is family and basics to maintain a relationship is honesty and trust. Confucius thumb rule was that " one's roles and responsibility define the character of him/her. The goal of living should not be to earn money. It should be live with the greatest harmony achieved by appropriate action.

3) Nature

Confucian theory said that " Goodness is indeed not so far away If we rally wanted, it is available in our side only." Indeed goodness, come through personality development, self-reflection and discipline. The reason is our mind is always dwelling and start pushing us to think the noble or selfish thing. Good education and positive mindset helping men for a change. But this change is only for a short term period. Actual transformation happens only through heart transformation.

Conclusion:

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated

The Transformational Leader:- Cyrus the Great

Refer,
"XENOPHON'S CYRUS THE GREAT" The Art of Leadership and War " was written by Larry Hedrick.
Xenophon's Cyrus, the ancient historical Greek hero since 6th century B.C. During his lifetime he was the gigantic king of his empire. He was awarded numerous titles, won hundreds of battles and acquired Anshan, media, Babylon, Sumer, Akkad, and head of all the kings of his empire
Cyrus was the Emperor of the Persian Empire, which was extended from the Mediterranean to India. In history, Cyrus is known as mild, generous, and debonair king in his time.
He was a very classic person in the art of leadership, war strategy, execution, and responsibility.
Here are some leadership qualities which we should learn from Cyrus because, in today's time,  it's of more value than other skills. He is a supreme example of leadership.

Here are some of the key leadership skills which made him Cyrus the Great.

1)      Learn from others.

It’s a common-sense approach. What predecessors did, why and how the success or failure. Also, know what were the errors of the judgment and misguided decisions. His philosophy was, “Predecessors are an opportunities to learn from others”

2)      Lead from the front

He believed that leading from the front gives confidence to his soldiers. In war, he aways inspired his army by “ seeping very rudely over the arrows, javelins, and stones.” He always said one sentence to his men “ Forward now, bravest of the brave! tell me how quickly you can drag your enemy down!”.

3)      Self Interest ( Soldiers)

If soldiers get to know that their leader is not following their self-interest, the sense of loyalty and honestly would collapse. Good team leaders spend some time to understand their team. Find out their goals and aspirations to ensure it should align in the future.

4)      Don’t overpromise that you can’t fulfill

He never aroused hopes that he couldn't fulfill. Because it's about credibility. People never follow those they can not believe and trust. Honesty is the key to a leader's success.

5)       No distinction rank

He always questioned the distinction of rank existing between leaders and followers. A leader must have a common touch with their followers. Because without them they are nothing. Spend time with followers so that the level of engagement would be rigid and tight.

6)      Take care of your team

Cyrus knew one thing very well i.e “ Success always calls for greater generosity, though most people, lost in the darkness of their own goals. Share the credit of success with the team. Try to maintain a loyalty culture otherwise, it would be very difficult to achieve consistent and sustainable long term success.

Cyrus was the father of Iran for their excellent leadership skills. Because such kind of unique qualities made him the greatest leader in world history and that how he is worthy to say "Great"

Great Transformational Leader:- Mahatma Gandhiji.

History is a witness of an unbelievable great job done Mahatma Gandhiji. Every 2nd October of a year we appreciate Mahatma Gandhiji accomplishment for the nation (India). Under the unquestionable leadership of him, India got independence in 1947. Under the leadership of his many campaigns was carried out and most famous was Dandi march. That's why he is one of the transformational leaders out of the list of best leaders.

Why Gandhiji is under the list of transformational leaders..?? What were the qualities he possessed for a transformational leader?

First, we look at the qualities of transformational leaders.
  • They always look for change, give recognization for change. Have the vision to guide and execute for change.
  • When leader elevates, followers also get elevated.
  • They have the ability to express a clear vision in front of the followers also inspire others to how to accomplish the vision.
  • Very fewer people have the capability to motivate others to work themselves rather than self-interest.
Aforesaid India got independence under the unquestionable leadership of  Mahatma Gandhi. He impressed his countrymen and the international community with his heartbreaking thoughts and actions.

Following are the summarizations of his leadership thoughts and actions.

1) Simple Lifestyle

He designed his life with simple attributes. Which consisted of simple crystal clear straight forward personality.  He lived like common poor people. He stayed in colonies and lived with Dalit and Harijan.

2) Believe in Unity

He always believed in unity, harmony, equality and alliance. He many time fought for cast diversification.

3) Believe on truth

In politics everything is fair but as we know in politics volition, humiliation and criticisms are always there behind and in front of the scene. But Gandhiji always follows the path of trust, non-violative, sincerity, and honesty and he changed the definition of politics.

4) Forgiveness

Many time Gandhiji was beaten, insulted, and humiliated by the British as well as followers. However, he forgives all of one with a smile.

Gandhiji had many more abilities like this but as an entrepreneur, these abilities are very essential to set up a business and strong relations are needed to run the business. If you can't forgive your employees when they make a mistake they will never respect you and like you.

If you can't trust them they never give you full efforts for your business. For every entrepreneur, their crew is an image of his/her business.

Because of such kind of values Gandhiji got the spiritual name, Mahatma.
