From cities to towns, towns to villages movies are best paradigms of entertainment. In old age, cinema halls were only one place to watch movies and newspapers were only one to know about movies. Because of perpetual increment of technology the sources of information also has changed. Till 2016 Indians were not fully drowned into the internet. After the lunched of Jio, the temptation of browsing, searching, downloading and surfing increases rapidly. Indeed, around 60% Indians predominantly do a search on movies, read about upcoming movies and their favourite film star.

In India, Bollywood movies especially Hindi movies were searched widely over the past five years. Since after Hindi movies the craze of Bhojpuri movies is also getting increased in India. Last year (2018) Bhojpuri movies were searched a lot than Bollywood movies.
Indeed, Hindi version of Bhojpuri, south Indian movies are predominantly more famous than Hindi Bollywood movies. One of the most popular Telugu film sarainodu has made around 104 million views on youtube and now it becomes the most popular Hindi dubbed movie on youtube

In the year 2018, Tamil superstar Rajnikanth and his movie 2.0 was highly searched on google. Mostly interest came from Jharkhand which was more than Tamil Nadu. Some of the movies were not highly successful in Box Office but they were highly searched on google.

If we talk about filmstar, in the year 2018 Salman Khan was the most googled person followed Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan and Akshay Kumar. Salman Khan was more popular than Indian prime minister Shri Narendra Modi and Indian Cricket team captain Mr Virat Kohli. If we talked about a female, Sunny Leone ( The former porn star) was widely searched on Google in the year 2018.
